Iñigo Vicente was born and raised in the Basque city of Derio and displayed a love and talent for football at an early age. He joined Lezama in 2008 when he was only ten, but left in 2012 to play with Danok Bat for one season before returning. Since coming back, Vicente has been one of the most promising players coming through the youth system, shattering goalscoring records along the way. After training under Joseba Etxeberria, the forward began to develop a more well-rounded game. While playing with Bilbao Athletic in the 2017/2018 season, manager Gaizka Garitano played Vicente in several different positions and he began to shine as a secondary striker and winger. The following summer Vicente had several offers to go on loan in the Segunda but chose to stay at Bilbao Athletic to prove himself and was one of the most electrifying players in the league. By December, the starlet had signed a new contract with Athletic and will train with the first team during the 2019/2020 preseason.
Iñigo Vicente is under contract through 2023 and his deal contains a €40 million release clause. He will be spending the 2019/2020 season on loan with Mirandés.
