Basconia Open Season On 18 October At Home Against Vitoria
Last season proved to be a roaring success for CD Basconia. Under new manager Patxi Salinas the Basauritarras earned a top four finish and qualified for the promotional playoffs. Basconia ultimately lost the first game of the tournament, but aim to return this season with another impressive campaign.
This year the Tercera is separated into 18 groups divided into two subgroups. Basconia have been seeded in Subgroup B of Group IV along with Anaitsauna, Sodupe, Pasaia, Cultural Durango, San Ignacio, Ariznabarra, Vitoria, Santurtzi, Urduliz, Lagun Onak, and Atsedena.
Basconia’s season’s starts at home on 18 October with a match against Vitoria. Salinas’s squad will then hit the road the following week with a visit to Urduliz. The final fixture will be played on 21 Match when Basconia host Ariznabarra.
Preseason began back on 16 September with an impressive 3-1 win over Balmaseda, followed by a 1-1 draw against Laredo and a 2-0 loss to Aurrera Ondarroa. Basconia return to action on Saturday against Tudelano to continue preparing for the upcoming season.
