Cadíz And Alavés In Pursuit Of Athletic Winger Gaizka Larrazabal

Gaizka Larrazabal will soon be on his way out of Athletic. With one year left on his contract, and not a part of Gaizka Garitano’s plans, the 22-year-old will be allowed to leave the club for free. However, Athletic will retain a buy-back clause as part of the agreement.
With 12 days left until the transfer window closes Larrazabal is still searching for a new club. Several teams in the Segunda have expressed interest, though Larrazabal prefers to play in the Primera. For now, two clubs lead the race to sign Larrazabal.
According to a report from Javier Beltrán of AS, Alavés and newly promoted Cadíz are in pursuit of Larrazabal. Both clubs view Larrazabal as a player that would improve the attack, but must await other moves before the signing can take place.
Barring any unforeseen changes Larrazabal will leave Athletic before the transfer window closes. The only question at this point is which team will he join. After missing the entire preseason with illness, Gaizka Larrazabal is eager to resolve his future and hopes to earn his way back to Athletic.
