Basconia Open Preseason With 3-1 Win Over Balmaseda

Basconia’s first season under manager Patxi Salinas brought immense success and a trip to the promotional playoffs. The Basauritarras eventually fell short in the tournament, but aspire to secure another top four finish this year. With several new faces in the team Basconia officially kicked off the preseason on Wednesday with a friendly against Balmaseda at Lezama.

Newcomers Manex Asategi, Iñigo López, and Ander Laka all scored in the first half to give Basconia a 3-0 lead before the break. From the opening whistle the hosts were in complete control but did surrender a second half goal. The game would end with Basconia picking up an impressive 3-1 win to start the summer off on a high note.

Basconia will be back in action on Saturday when Laredo visit Lezama for a friendly. The team will play a total of 6 preseason games before kicking off the new Tercera season in October.
