Ander Capa Undergoes Surgery For Fractured Wrist
The season has finally come to a close, but in the world of football the work never ends. As Athletic begin to make plans for the upcoming campaign, the players will have some much needed time off. Most importantly, players will have the chance to recover from injuries without the rush of trying to get back on the field.
Injuries are an unfortunate part of football and throughout every season most players will have to play through minor issues at some point. This has been the case for Ander Cap who suffered a fractured bone in his left wrist a few weeks ago, but was able to finish the season.
Athletic announced on Monday that Capa has undergone successful surgery to repair the bone in his wrist and should be discharged from the hospital tomorrow. The procedure was performed at the Virgen Blanca del IMQ and Ander Capa is expected to be cleared by time the team reports to preseason training on 13 August.
