Dani García Returns To Training, Gaizka Larrazabal Likely To Miss Celta Match
Dani García has played every single minute in La Liga this season but has been in danger of missing Sunday’s match against Celta Vigo entirely. The midfielder has been unable to train throughout the week due to the flu outbreak which struck the squad, though his situation has greatly improved with just three days until Athletic host Celta at San Mamés
After being sidelined over the past few days Dani García returned to normal training on Thursday. García had no issues throughout the session and, barring any setbacks, will likely be named to the starting lineup on Sunday. In addition, Raúl García also returned to training following a blow on Wednesday that forced him to leave the session early.
Unfortunately, Gaizka Larrazabal will still likely be unavailable to Gaizka Garitano. The winger returned to training on Tuesday after battling the flu, but has been absent since due to a minor muscle injury. Oscar De Marcos, Aritz Aduriz, and Unai Simón will also be casualties for Athletic while Iker Muniain is expected to make his return to the lineup after being sidelined for nearly two months with a hamstring injury.
