Peru Nolaskoain makes his debut with Deportivo in the Segunda (RCD)

Iñigo Vicente and Peru Nolaskoain hope to be the future of Athletic. Both players were formed at Lezama and have shown the quality to become special footballers, however, the duo will be spending the season away on loan. Vicente left for Mirandés where he will be coached by Athletic legend Andoni Iraola while Nolaskoain will feature with Deportivo. The starlets are expected to play important roles while on loan and made their debuts in the opening weekend of LaLiga123.

Mirandés opened the season on the road against Rayo Vallecano and Vicente was included in the starting lineup. The 21-year-old featured on the left-wing and was taken off late in the second half. As expected, Vicente was able to beat defenders with the ball at his feet and showed his sublime passing ability. As the season progresses the starlet will grow more comfortable in his role and should start to really impact matches.

Nolaskoain also made his debut for Deportivo, but didn’t come on until the 90th minute when he replaced former Athletic midfielder Ager Aketxe. Based on his first minutes, it appears as though Nolaskoain will be used more as a midfielder as opposed to center-back. The 20-year-old looked comfortable and could be included in the starting lineup when Deportivo travel to Huesca this Sunday.

Unfortunately, Andoni López is currently in limbo. The left-back also left Athletic on loan this summer, joining Elche, but was not even included in the squad list for the season opener. Due to financial restrictions, Elche have not been able to register all of their transfer signings which included López. The club hopes to have the Lezama product available on Saturday when they visit Alcorcón.
