Athletic Juvenil A Advance To The Torneo Villa De Laredo Final With 2-1 Win Over Sporting

Athletic Juvenil A are once again competing in the Torneo Villa de Laredo and kicked off the tournament on Friday with a match against Sporting. It was the second time that the Kumeak have faced Sporting this summer and the final result was similar to the first. Athletic secured a 2-1 win and have advanced to the final which will be played on Sunday.

Sporting had control of the game early on and opened up the scoring after just 7 minutes. Athletic slowly began to build a rhythm and finally equalized in the 31st minute when Nico Williams assisted Manex Asategi. Unai Pérez was called on to make a few big saves before Nico Serrano scored the winner in the 82nd minute. Athletic will play the winner of Racing and Alavés in the final on Sunday.

Athletic Juvenil A have yet to lose a game this summer and have looked very strong under manager Jon Solaun. With one of the most talented squads in Spain, the Kumeak are hoping for a great season and the chance the make a deep run in the Copa del Juveniles after missing out on the tournament last year.
