Athletic Looking To Sign Kajus Alisauskas For Juvenil A Squad
Athletic’s Juvenil A team had a disappointing campaign last season where they finished 7th in the league table and 15 points off of champions Numancia. Manager Andoni Galiano was unable to get the best out of the team which will lead to a coaching change this summer. Imanol de la Sota is expected to return as manager and the squad will look much different as well.
Of course, several players will leave or be promoted to CD Basconia. Others will take the step up from the Juvenil B team which won the league title last year. The club is also constantly looking to add talent at every level of Lezama and that will certainly be the case for Juvenil A this summer as well.
One player that has caught the eye of Athletic is Cirbonero right-back Kajus Alisauskas according to Javier Beltrán of El Correo. The teenager is of Lithuanian descent but was born and raised in Pamplona. Being born in Navarre means that he meets Athletic’s unique player requirement of “born or formed” as does training at a Basque youth academy.
Last season Alisaukas made his debut with Cirbonero’s first team in Spain’s Tercera, was a regular starter for the club’s Juvenil A team, and featured for the U18 National Team. The right-back appears to have an exciting future ahead and Real Sociedad and Osasuna have also shown interest in signing him this summer. Kajus Alisauskas will have a big decision to make as he takes the next step in his football career.
