Matías Lizarazu And Thaylor Aldama Leave CD Basconia
CD Basconia are in the midst of an impressive four game winning streak under manager Iban Fuentes and many players have been developing very well. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough minutes to go around for everyone and this transfer window presents the opportunity for some to leave in search of regular playing which has now happened for two players.
Defender Matías Lizarazu has left to join Somorrostro on loan for the rest of the season. The 21-year-old center-back, who can also play at fullback, hasn’t had the opportunity to play regular football and will now have the chance to be a starter for Somorrostro and return to Lezama in the summer to fight for his place. He also left on loan last January to sign with Zamudio.
Forward Thaylor Aldama has also left Basconia to sign with Coruxo in Galicia. Already 24 years old, Aldama hasn’t been able to earn a place at Bilbao Athletic and will now follow a new path in his football career. Thaylor was developed at Danok Bat and Celta Vigo before joining Lezama while also spending time at Vitoria, Logroñes, Eibar, Real Unión, and Caudal before signing with Basconia back in 2017. He’s already made over 120 appearances in the Tercera.
Basconia currently sit just 3 points off of the promotional playoff zone of the league table and will put their four game winning streak on the line on Sunday when travel to face off with second-placed Sestao River at Las Llanas.
