Adrian Celador Returns To Bilbao Athletic After Unsuccessful Loan Spell With Arenas Club
Going away on loan can often be the defining moment of a young player’s career. Even with Athletic Club’s focus on youth development, many players have to leave to find regular minutes elsewhere. This was the case for Adrián Celador who left for Arenas Club over the summer, but things haven’t gone as planned for the 22-year-old.
Since joining Arenas Club in August Celador has been called up for eleven games but has only played a total of 60 minutes when he started on the road against Barakaldo. It has become clear that the midfielder is not part of Jabi Luaces’s plans and has now returned from loan. He will rejoin Bilbao Athletic and will be looking for another club to move to on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.
Celador originally arrived at Lezama in 2009 but left for Danok Bat in 2012. After three years he made the move to Zamudio before eventually signing with CD Basconia during January of this year. The 22-year-old featured in 12 games for the feeder club before being promoted to Bilbao Athletic over the summer and leaving on loan.
