New Balance is quickly becoming one of the leading kit providers in football and are notorious for innovative ideas and partnering with their clubs both on the pitch and in the community. The home kit is, of course, red and white striped with black shorts as usual and also has a white collar. The most unique thing about the home shirt is the fact that the back is almost entirely white and the names and numbers will be black. This is the first time since the 1980’s that the Athletic home shirt will feature a white center. Iker Muniain and Mikel San Jose modeled the new home shirt at the reveal.

The second and third kits are definitely unique. One is a blue shirt that has a white stripe running down the middle trimmed in red. The shorts are also blue as is the back of the shirt. Numbers will be in black. The keeper shirt will be a solid black. This is no doubt a throw back to when Athletic wore blue kits when they were first founded. The third shirt is solid black and features red and white trim on the sleeves. The most intriguing part is that the shorts are grey and the names and numbers will be in an Athletic red. The keeper shirts for this kit are a solid green.

The New Balance 2017-2018 shirts are already on sale on the Athletic Club online store are in shops in Bilbao. It shouldn’t take long for them to go on sale on other websites so you should be able to pick up yours really soon. Which player’s shirt are you going to get?
