Inter Milan Linked With A Move For Athletic Club’s Inaki Williams

Inaki Williams is starting to take the football world by storm. The Lezama product is known for his lighting speed, incredible power, and fantastic energy and other clubs across Europe are starting to take notice. Over the last year, Liverpool, Napoli, and Juventus have been linked with a move for the winger, but now there is one more name to add to that list.

According to a report from Pablo Egea of Marca, Italian side Inter Milan is heavily interested in Inaki Williams and have been following him for quite some time.

The Italians have reportedly sent scouts to all of Inaki’s recent matches with Spain’s U21 team and have been doing their research on the 23-year-old. Despite Inter’s interest, Athletic will not negotiate transfers for their own players and have a policy of always asking for the release clause. In Inaki’s case, that number is set at €50 million and could climb even higher with the club and player said to be close to negotiating a renewal to raise his wages and clause.

Even if Inter was willing to match Inaki’s clause, it is highly unlikely that the 23-year-old would leave the San Mames. When his name was linked to Juventus and Liverpool he went out of his way to make it clear that he has no plans of leaving his boyhood club. In fact, he gave an interview just recently saying that he hopes to continue at Athletic Club for many more years. In Inaki’s mind Athletic has given him and his family everything and he dreams of becoming a legend at the San Mames.
